ABOUT GUIBORD'S
Guibord's School of Dance is a traditional dance school whose doors opened in September 1973. It is not a competition or recital driven dance school. Our classes focus on technique for the entire year. For our end of year, "Celebration of Dance Show", we choreograph using class syllabus. This eliminates the need for "teaching" a recital dance for the whole year.
STUDIO LOCATIONS
Our Studios are located at 427 Margaret Street. It is the building formerly known as the Bay Club. It is across the street from McDonald's. Click here for driving directions to our Margaret Street Studio
TRAINING SCHOOL OF "THE NORTH COUNTRY BALLET ENSEMBLE"
Guibord's is the official training school for NCBE. This means our curriculum offers excellent training in several dance forms. This enables our students to perform at a high level of accomplishment.
PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
The School offers several student performance venues:
Performance opportunities with NCBE including The Nutcracker in late November.
Informal showings of Character Dance in house or as community service.
The end of the year show, "Celebration of Dance"
SUMMER CLASSES
We offer two weeks of dance workshops starting the last week of June.
Summer 2007, in residence, was Rebecca Kelly of Rebecca Kelly Ballet. We encourage students ages 12 and older to study a minimum of three weeks in the summer.
